Roof Cleaning with Confidence: Introducing Our New 2-Year Guarantee (Transferable)
When you invest in roof cleaning, you want more than a great-looking finish on the day — you want confidence that the results will last. That’s why Roof & Drive Cleaning Lincoln now offers a 2-year guarantee on roof cleaning for our steam clean & biocide treatment service.
This guarantee is designed to give homeowners extra peace of mind, and it’s also transferable if you sell your property during the cover period — a simple but valuable extra that can support your home’s kerb appeal and maintenance credentials.
Full details of the guarantee are available on request.
Why a roof cleaning guarantee matters
Roofs in the UK climate are constantly exposed to damp conditions, shade, wind-blown debris and airborne spores — all of which contribute to the return of moss, algae and lichen. Even after a thorough clean, regrowth can happen if the right process isn’t followed.
A guarantee matters because it shows the service is built around:
-
A method that’s designed to be effective long-term
-
A finish that’s supported by proper treatment
-
Clear expectations on what the service covers
Our guarantee applies to the roof cleaning process we trust most for lasting results: steam cleaning followed by a professional biocide treatment.
What roof cleaning service is covered?
The 2-year guarantee applies to roof cleaning only, and specifically to our:
-
Steam roof cleaning
-
Biocide treatment application (post-clean)
This is the “steam & treat” service we use to remove organic growth and then help prevent regrowth from taking hold again.
Steam cleaning (not pressure washing)
We steam clean roofs using controlled heat, which helps break down organic growth and lift grime without relying on aggressive pressure. It’s a careful, surface-aware approach that’s particularly suitable where you want results without unnecessary force.
Biocide treatment
After cleaning, we apply a biocide treatment designed to target remaining spores and slow the return of moss and algae. This treatment step is a key part of the long-term finish and is central to the guarantee.

What the guarantee means in plain English
Your roof should not only look cleaner after the service — it should stay in a significantly improved condition because the cleaning is backed up with treatment.
The goal of the guarantee is simple:
-
Protect the value of the steam & treat roof cleaning service
-
Offer reassurance that the roof has been cleaned and treated properly
-
Provide homeowners with added confidence in the results
Because roofs, environments and exposure levels vary, full guarantee terms are available on request so everything is clear upfront.
Transferable guarantee: a real bonus if you sell your home
One of the standout features of this new guarantee is that it’s transferable between homeowners if the property is sold.
That means if you move house within the guarantee period:
-
The cover can transfer to the next homeowner
-
It becomes a useful selling point for kerb appeal and upkeep
-
The new owner benefits from the remaining cover period
If you’re thinking ahead to future resale, this can be a smart way to show that key exterior maintenance has been handled professionally.
Who is this ideal for?
This guarantee is a great fit for homeowners who want:
-
A roof that looks cleaner and better maintained for longer
-
A roof cleaning approach that’s steam cleaned, not pressure washed
-
Extra reassurance that the service is built around longevity
-
A transferable benefit if the home is sold during the cover period
It’s also ideal for roofs that are prone to organic growth, such as:
-
Shaded elevations
-
North-facing roof sections
-
Properties near trees, fields, or open land
-
Roofs with recurring moss/algae build-up
Keeping expectations realistic (and professional)
Roof cleaning outcomes depend on factors like roof type, condition, age, exposure, and how established the growth is. Steam cleaning and biocide treatment are highly effective, but every roof is different.
To keep everything transparent:
-
We’ll always talk you through what’s achievable
-
We’ll recommend the best approach for your roof type
-
We provide guarantee details on request so you know exactly what’s covered
